This unique building, located in a harsh marine environment on Gandía Beach, just a few meters from the sea. The project includes the renovation of all the building’s façades, addressing structural repairs, the restoration of spalling, cracks, and focusing on the renewal of the finishing cladding, with the application of stone-effect paint.
Structurally, treatments have been carried out on the surface reinforcements using techniques like chipping away damaged concrete, cleaning and passivating the rebar, and regenerating the concrete with high-performance mortars.
For the renewal of the cladding, local repairs of spalling in mortars were carried out, the removal of the previous paint, which had poor adhesion to the mortar, followed by the application of stone-effect spray paint, achieving uniformity and smoothness across all the façades.
This renovation has served to update and protect the building in order to extend its lifespan, and it has also been used as an opportunity to update its aesthetics, while ensuring the Mediterranean character of the building is preserved.
